[Mrs. Brisby is sewing. And as she set her SFC down, she was unaware that she turned it on. She hums, quietly, to herself, the sounds of shifting fabric the only indication of sewing.

After a few minutes, she starts to sing.]

[She pricks herself with a needle, letting out a quiet "ouch!" before going back to humming the song, rather than singing the rest.]

[John is content to listen to just listen to the song. In fact, it was so soothing, he had almost drifted off to sleep. At least until the "ouch". Unable to see what happened, he's a little concerned...but the voice had started humming again so obviously it was nothing too major.]

[He may be thirteen, but you would be hard pressed to find someone who does not consider him to still be a child. The rest isn't quite long enough to put him back on the verge of sleep, but it is enough to put a calm and almost dreamy smile on his face, something which can likely be heard in his voice.]

Hehe, well it certainly does the job. I almost fell asleep myself. Your kids are really lucky to such a mom with such a pretty voice.

Oh, I see. Somehow, that sounds even nicer. It's very...touching? I think that's the word I'm looking for. Family means a lot to you, doesn't it?

I have been thinking about mine a lot lately. I am starting to realize just how important it is, I think.
