Not today. She shifts a bit uncomfortably, fidgeting. It's clear enough, at least, that she is incredibly uncomfortable.]

Can... someone explain what a "pet store" is to me? Or... explain what a "pet" really is.

I don't think I've ever seen such a dreadful and uncomfortable place...

I hope that those pokemon were able to show you love. Because a child going without love... that's the saddest thing I've ever heard of.

Who taught you your manners? Because you really are a lot more polite than most of the other humans I've spoken to. I don't think I've heard a single curse from your lips.

Am I? Well. Ghetsis did. A couple years ago he started teaching me how I was supposed to talk to people.

Well, at least he did that much correctly.

I swear, with as many humans as I hear cursing as if it were nothing, I was beginning to doubt human mothers... maybe they were just being too soft on their children.

That is good! It really is such dreadfully rude language, I can't imagine why anyone would want to sound so brutish and empty-headed by using such dirty words.

How are they dirty? They're just words. If they describe what the person means properly, why not use them?

Because they're used to mean something rude and hurtful. And they're based on words that mean something gross anyway.

People say plenty of mean and hurtful things without cursing. I don't see why using specific words is any different.
